A blazing opal cabochon is encircled by 4.5 carats of shimmering old mine cut diamonds in this stunning late Edwardian / early Art Deco ring. Low profile and finger hugging, this elegant platinum setting is finished with delicately hand-engraved shoulders and under gallery, making it stunning from all angles. Currently a size 6 3/4.
Opal: 15.52 x 11.69 x 3.84 mm deep, some crazing and surface wear
Diamonds: 15 old mine cut diamonds, estimated 4.5 carats total weight, J-K range in color, SI1 - I2 range in clarity, six diamond have tiny abrasions that can be seen under magnification.
