Antique 14K Amethyst Paste Tassie Intaglio Pendant - Signed PICHLER

This is an early paste intaglio signed "Pichler" ( Luigi Pichler 1773-1852). I believe the intaglio and the surround date to the late Georgian period and the crimped bail was added at a later time.
The pendant measures 1 1/2" long by 7/8" wide by 1/4" thick. It weighs 13.5 grams. There are three tiny flakes on the border of the tassie but they do not distract form the piece.
