Once the possession of a wealthy wanderer, this exceptional floral micro mosaic bangle dates to the mid 19th century. During the Grand Tour wealthy families would travel around Europe to experience different cultures and to visit various landmarks. Along the way, souvenirs like this would be acquired. Like this example, the most desirable micromosaics are smooth to the touch, with very little space between the tesserae. Each glass tile has been painstakingly hand placed into a black glass surround, then finished with a polish. The mosaic is held tightly within an 18K gold bezel with a hand engraved surround which rests upon an 18K gold bangle intricately hand engraved with an infinity motif.
